Automates npm releases for gleap. Push the tag X.Y.Z and GitHub Actions publishes to npm with trusted publishing. No npm OTP needed anymore, and no stored token. The CDN still deploys through Cloudflare Workers Builds on every push to master; that's unchanged.

  • release.yml (tag X.Y.Z):
    • checks the tag against package.json;
    • runs npm ci (which builds via prepare), npm test and npm pack --dry-run;
    • runs npm publish (OIDC, with provenance; prerelease tags go to the next dist-tag);
    • creates the GitHub release from the CHANGELOG section.
  • ci.yml (pull requests and pushes to master): npm ci, tests, npm pack --dry-run.
  • repository.url → git+https://github.com/GleapSDK/JavaScript-SDK.git (the form trusted publishing matches against).
  • README: new "Releasing" section.

One-time setup: npm trust github gleap --repo GleapSDK/JavaScript-SDK --file release.yml --allow-publish -y

Verification: in a fresh clone of master, npm ci, npm test (26 suites, 455 tests) and npm pack --dry-run (10 files) all pass. actionlint is clean.

Pushing a tag X.Y.Z checks it against package.json, runs the tests and
publishes gleap with npm trusted publishing (OIDC, no stored token), then
creates the GitHub release from the CHANGELOG. CI runs tests, build and pack
on pull requests. repository.url uses the form trusted publishing matches.
