Helios is a cross-platform desktop application that makes it easy for you to enjoy and manage your local music library. It is currently available for macOS and Windows:

The latest release can be found here. To get started, simply open the app and drag your existing collection of MP3 or M4A (AAC) files into it. Artist and title tags are required for all songs. For compilations, genre is also required.

Helios supports the following keyboard shortcuts to help simplify navigation:

• Space bar: Play or pause the current song.
• Command-Left Arrow: Rewind the current song.
• Command-Right Arrow: Fast-forward the current song.
• Command-Shift Left Arrow: Move to the previous song.
• Command-Shift Right Arrow: Move to the next song.
• Command-S: Toggle shuffle mode.
• Command-R: Toggle repeat mode.
• Command-Q: Show the music queue.
• Command-N: Add songs or create a playlist.
• Command-G: Go to the currently playing song.
• Command-Down Arrow: Decrease playback volume.
• Command-Up Arrow: Increase playback volume.
• Command-D: Download missing album artwork.
• Command-F: Search for songs.
• Command-P: View application settings.
• Command-1: Go to the Artists tab.
• Command-2: Go to the Genres tab.
• Command-3: Go to the Playlists tab.

Note that on Windows, the Control key is used instead of Command.
