Backend Engineer | Security Engineering
Backend engineer with a foundation in Go, Rust, Java and C, progressing toward enterprise security engineering. Areas of interest span decentralised finance, with particular attention to stablecoin systems, and conventional low-level and enterprise software. Current work concentrates on how systems fail: broken access control, unsafe input handling, and defects that existing tests do not detect.
| Area | Scope |
|---|---|
| Enterprise Application Security | Secure code review, authentication and authorisation, web and API vulnerabilities |
| Decentralised Finance Security | Smart contract and protocol security, with emphasis on stablecoins |
| Low-Level Systems | Systems programming, network protocols, memory safety |
| Quality Assurance and Test Automation | Exploratory testing, automated test suites, load testing (secondary track) |
| Project | Language | Description |
|---|---|---|
| http-server | Rust | Single-threaded, non-blocking HTTP/1.1 server built on epoll and raw POSIX system calls, without an async runtime or framework. Enforces body limits and request timeouts; stress-tested with siege. |
| key-value-store | Go | Replicated key-value store with a gRPC interface, developed to study consensus and cluster membership. |
| monolith | Go | Local-first document indexer providing unified search across local files, Google Drive and Notion. Read-only by design. |
| tweet-audit | Go | Resumable pipeline for reviewing a complete X archive in rate-limited batches, with recovery from interruption. |
| simple_shell | C | Unix shell implementing process creation, path resolution and built-in commands. |
