Add % and ° to the tray icons to know what you are looking at

Currently it shows at blank dull numbers - having no idea what I am looking at And please don't tell me there is no space in the tray icon area when you are using huge amount of padding between humbers.

The padding is windows spacing the icons, not the icon themselves.

Just so you understand the constraints, here is the approximate outline of the icon:

Single digits would have the room for it, but double digits and above, nop.

Keep in mind there should be a tooltip that works on these icons, it's bugged right now, working on a fix as we speak.

On top of that you don't need to use "font" you can generate a graphic image icon on the fly

Well a font is the most convenient and standard way to generate text graphic?

The 3 digit is 1XX only, as the 1 is slim enough for this to work. I tried the %/° symbol before, there is just no way I found satisfactory to make it look good in all situations while staying legible across resolutions, dpi scaling, etc.

Trust me if it was easy and looked good it would be done already. But tray icons are limited as to what can fit into a tiny square. I spent many hours on this experimenting, and this is the best I could came up with.

I think having at least a degree symbol there should be possible… For example, this is how a tray icon (or rather two icons actually 😅) from my weather application looks like:

Yeah, but at least then it would be possible to distinguish between fan speed and temperature icons, so maybe it's a valid compromise? 😇

One quick option could be ° for temperature and ÷ for percent - stupid ..but less space
