Why it matters
The tracked CLAUDE.md ends with a ~60-line generic block titled "context-mode — MANDATORY routing rules". It is personal plugin configuration, not project guidance. Every contributor or user who opens this repo in Claude Code gets instructions that:
- claim
curl/wget, WebFetch and inline HTTP are "BLOCKED" and must not be retried;
- restrict Bash to
git/mkdir/rm/mv/ls and require ctx_* MCP tools that most users don't have installed;
- cap responses at 500 words and forbid returning code inline.
For anyone without the context-mode plugin, this degrades or outright breaks the agent's behaviour in this repo. It also contradicts the repo's own CLAUDE.md guidance above it, for example running Blender headless and reporting output.
This is a regression. 5f6cbdf fix: remove stray context-mode block from CLAUDE.md … (#8) removed it once. It is back at HEAD.
Evidence
The "Git Staging" section of CLAUDE.md already warns that tool-injected guidance blocks get swept into commits by bulk git add. That is almost certainly how it came back.
Suggested approach
- Delete lines 230–end (the whole context-mode section).
- Add a guard to
validate.yml: fail if CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md contains context-mode or ctx_batch_execute. A generic marker list of known injected-block headings makes this reusable.
- Optionally add
CLAUDE.local.md to .gitignore and document it as the place for machine-local agent config.
