[BUG] Cannot apply pending changes

Describe the bug

There are a persistent 3 changes that I says I need to update Steam to apply. It fails to apply them, though, with no helpful message.

This started occurring after I installed Team Fortress 2, which has a native Linux port. I've tried purging and reinstalling ProtonPlus, but it does not

To Reproduce

I feel like this is a broken configuration issue with Steam or TF2 and reproduction won't be as simple as this, but here goes:

1. Install Team Fortress 2
2. Set the launch options in ProtonPlus: MangoHud enabled, Native compatibility
3. It can't apply the changes

Expected behavior

I expect either the configuration to load properly when ProtonPlus opens (if these three changes have already been made) or, in the more likely case that the changes haven't applied, I'd expect them to work.

I did that; the only messages are related to my GTK theme.

Thanks for being willing to help so quickly! This must be why you have so few open issues.

I just saw that Flatpak is the recommended installation method, so I'll try using that and report what I find.

I doubt this is related to Flatpak but youre open to try!
And yeah I am pretty quick on the trigger lol.

Would you be open to try this possible fix?
You can simply uninstall the Flatpak version you have (if you installed it) and install this one https://github.com/Vysp3r/ProtonPlus/actions/runs/35800600905/artifacts/10725971351.

I will try to replicate once TF2 is downloaded.

I just installed the flatpak version (from flathub) instead of the one in Pika repos, and now it works. Do you still want me to try your patched version?

It's okay then don't worry about it.
I'll make a few more tests and I also added more information in the error dialog in case it happens again so we have a better understanding of the issue at end.
That will be available in the next update.
