TypeScript 7.0.2 typechecks the project with 0 errors, roughly seven times faster than 6.0.3, but typescript-eslint 8.71.1 only supports TypeScript <6.1 and the lint is part of the CI gate. tsc --noEmit, whole projectBlocker: typescript-eslint 8.71.1 (latest) declares
typescript >=4.8.4 <6.1.0, and the lint is part of the CI gate. Running two compilers (TS 6 for lint, TS 7 for typecheck) would save about ten seconds on a ~3.5 min job; not worth the upkeep.Changes
