RC1 is a pre-release for testing only, so the documented release stays v0.117-0. Keep the compact and pg_hba fixes, which also hold for 0.117. Signed-off-by: Guanzhou Song <guanzhousong@microsoft.com>

… as known The pgNN-1.0.0 tags will move to the final build. The data-directory lock is not new in RC1; the stale postmaster.pid refusal is. Keep stable instructions on 0.117 and give RC1 testers an explicit, disposable path with no maintenance or supported upgrades.
The current website installer defaults to stable;
--version v1.0-RC1selects verified release assets. The installer originally attached to RC1 remains unchanged and does not support this flag. Manual downloads and pinned-rc1container examples remain available, with the stale-PID behavior and known init-script issue called out.Coordinate with documentdb/documentdb#751 and documentdb/documentdb.github.io#191. Merge the engine and this docs PR before publishing the website update; the new installer URL is delivered by website #191.
The existing corrections to
compactbehavior and IPv6 external-access documentation are retained.AI assistance: GitHub Copilot helped update and review the installer instructions.
